The importance of hygiene.

The importance of hygiene.

Personal hygiene is the most important way we can tackle COVID-19, especially washing hands more; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.

Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water.

In addition to handwashing before eating and after sneezing, both children and staff should also wash hands after using toilets and after travelling on public transport.

Coronavirus - Email to Parents

Dear Parents

You will have seen the latest news reports regarding the latst advice from Public Health England regarding travel from coronavirus infected areas

We are monitoring the situation very carefully on a daily basis and following the Government advice for Educational Settings and updates from Public Health.  We are following our Health and Safety and Infection Control policies to the letter.

We are monitoring the travel of our staff and will enforce them to self-isolate if they have travelled to any of quarantined areas or been in direct contact with someone who has.

Please can we also ask you all to also be vigilant and inform us of your travel plans or illnesses.  If you or your family members find yourselves in direct contact with an infected person or an individual who has travelled to any of the quarantined areas (which is growing daily), we would ask you alert us so we can make the best decision to protect all our children, families and staff at our settings.

If we feel it necessary we will enforce a 14 day quarantine period for those children and parents who may pose a risk, to protect everyone.

NHS advice about minimising the spread of infection can be found here:
www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

We appreciate that you will have concerns over this matter, but we ask for your support and transparency so that we safeguard the health of our children, famiies and wider community

If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask

Kinds regards
Fiona and Lisa
